Ruby Trew

Ruby Trew is an Australian skateboarder & surfer who lives on the Northern Beaches in Sydney.

The 14-year-old is a global skateboarding & surfing sensation and is one of two Australian athletes who are recognised by two National Sporting Organisations NSO’s as a professional competitor – Surfing Australia and Skateboarding Australia.

In 2024, Ruby will be attending the Paris Olympics as part of the skateboarding team & has plans to continue to compete in pro skateboarding and surfing events on the respective world tours. Each of these NSO's have her as an integral member of their National Identification program to help her reach the Olympics & other major events.

In skateboarding, Ruby represented Australia at the 2019 World Skateboarding Championship in Barcelona, Spain. At age 10, she took out the silver medal in the Open Women’s Vert Skateboarding category & has most recently competed at the 2022 World Championships in Dubai where she finished in the Top 10 at the age of 14. More recently, Ruby finished second in the World Skateboarding Pro Tour, which was held in San Juan, Argentina.

In surfing, Ruby became the 2019 NSW State Champion & won the Australian Oz Grom competition for Under 12 Girls at Lennox Head, NSW.

Ruby's future goals include competing for Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics in skateboarding and switching to Surfing for the 2028 LA Olympics.

Ruby is currently the number 1 ranked skater in Women's Park in Australia & will be one to watch in Paris 2024.
