Marijana Rajcic
Marijana, known by most as MJ, was one of the most talented AFLW players Australia had ever seen. Before MJ started playing AFLW, her first professional career started when she played soccer in the W-League for the Adelaide United Football Club for 6 years, one of which she captained.
After noticing the AFLW was gaining more traction, MJ decided to lend her natural athletic abilities to a new sport, and was drafted to the Adelaide Crows in the 2017 national draft.
MJ made her debut in Round 3 of the 2018 season, defeating the Western Bulldogs, and went on to play in the 2019 premiership, playing a pivotal role in defense. MJ soon became a two-time Premiership player for Adelaide when they won the AFLW Premiership in 2022.
MJ announced her retirement in January of 2023, her engagement to teammate Chelsea Randall in March and the birth of their first son Tomi in October.
MJ is now an assistant coach of the Crows AFLW team.
