Natalie Butler (Née Medhurst)

Natalie Butler is an Australian international netballer and one of the most experienced and decorated netballers in the Suncorp Super Netball competition.

After retiring from the sport in 2020, Nat returned to the Suncorp Super Netball competition in 2023, signing for the West Coast Fever. Throughout her incredible career, Nat has played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Queensland Firebirds, Collingwood Magpies and the West Coast Fever while also playing for Australia over 10-year span.

Nat announced her retirement from the game on 9 September 2020. An illustrious career earning 86 Test caps, winning three World Cup titles and a Commonwealth Games gold medal, Nat is the third most-capped national league player, with 235 matches and 4,415 goals.

In 2023, after the birth of two children and 1,351days, Nat made her return to professional netball when she took to the court with the West Coast Fever. 

Nat now works in professional female cricket as the Player Development Manager in W.A where she supports athletes in both their on-field and off-field development. Nat also commentates for FOX netball during both the domestic and international seasons.

Nat is a passionate advocate for mental health, child safety/health and gender inequality specifically in female sport.
