RILEY DAY

Riley Day is an Olympic, Commonwealth and World representative from Australia who competes in the 100m and 200m events in Athletics.

Her athletics journey began as a nine-year-old when her mum enrolled her into the local Little Athletics program in her hometown of Beaudesert, Queensland to keep her fit and healthy.

At the age of 17, Riley became the youngest Australian 100m and 200m athlete to compete in an individual event at the 2017 World Championships in London, and the youngest female competitor overall in the Championships.

In 2018, she competed in the 200 metres semi-finals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, where the hometown favourite reached the semi-finals.

Riley then burst onto national prominence at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo where she reached the semi-finals of the 200 metres and gave a memorable post-race interview live on air.

She is an Ambassador for Woolworths, True Protein and No Timid Souls and resides in Brisbane where she trains out of QSAC as she plans her road to the World Championships in Budapest in 2023 and Olympics in Paris in 2024.
